Over the last several years many brands from across the world have sought after some of the top African American advertising agencies across the country in an attempt to get in front of the African American consumer that is expected to spend over 1.4 trillion dollars by 2021. For several years in a row, Ad Age, the home of the best advertising news source in the country named Global Hue as the top African American advertising until it was discovered in 2016 that the popular African American ad agency hadn’t paid it’s employees in over 3 years after losing it’s biggest client, Walmart.

Since then, many have wondered if Global Hue’s downfall has left a lasting bad impression on brands looking to do business with African American agencies.

Despite this downfall of a major African American advertising agency there are still other options for brands looking to market and advertise to African American consumers including, hiring black freelancers.

In 2016, we launched a freelance platform that makes it easier for brands to work directly with black women freelancers in their multicultural advertising initiatives.
