May is Mental Health Awareness month and often a conversation that is often overlooked in the African American community as well as the freelance community.

Getting mental health aid when you need it should be fairly easy; however, it’s not always as easy as one would think. In fact, many don’t have mental health coverage with their insurance or worst many freelancers don’t have insurance at all thanks to high premiums often associated with the Health Insurance Marketplace.  In other cases one may have mental health coverage but suffer tremendously because they can’t afford the co pay. Despite this challenges and even access to affordable health care, the stigma of seeking mental health care is still strong.

With these all of these hurdles combined there are still great options for therapy: cheap, affordable, or free therapy online that is available to everyone with an internet connection. There are many different options – here are cheap or free therapy online options you can try today.
